Collection and Distribution of Flood Relief
2024 AD Heavy rainfall occurs during July-August. Which is the third highest in the record of 122 years. All the water of this rainfall in India enters Sylhet, Feni, Comilla region of Bangladesh and floats away. Many people in the region became housebound. They do not get anything to eat, not even safe water. So Rajshahi District Rover and College Scout Group jointly undertook a relief collection program to help the flood victims.
When Rajshahi district adopted rover relief collection programme rover members of rover scout groups of all colleges in the district started collecting relief money. 23 Aug -1 Sep 2024. Collection of money for relief, distribution of relief among the flood victims in Comilla. Rover members were stationed at various major locations in Rajshahi district to collect relief money. In which many parents along with teachers and student also donate money. About 3 districts including Sylhet were flooded.
No one knows when disaster/accident will happen and no one knows who will be affected by it. So we all should help the disaster affected people as much as possible. Because in such situations we can read ourselves. And service should be our religion.
