Scout, Children, and Guardian of Huruma Children's Home, After finishing the activities of Bringing Joy.

Spreading Smiles at Children's Home

Our biggest Inspiration upon starting this project was triggered from a shared commitment within our scout group (Ubungo Scouts) to make a positive impact in our community. After learning about the challenges faces the Huruma Children's Home, including shortage of basic necessities and support, That was among of core reasons that made them unahppy. We as scouts felt a sense of responsibility to help improve the lives of these children and provide them with the care and resources they deserve, So that we can bring Joy to them. As scout oath guides as to do for others. (To help other people at all the times)

Our scout group organized a charity event to support Huruma Children's Home. We began with thorough planning, identifying the home's needs and fundraising through various activities like community outreach, group donations and crowdfunding. With the funds raised, we purchased essential items and collected donations of other stuffs from the community. On the event day, our volunteers engaged with the children, organized activities, and distributed supplies.

Through our project to support Huruma Children's Home, we learned the significance of teamwork, community engagement, empathy, resource management, and sustainability. Working together, we realized the importance of collaboration and leveraging community support to make a meaningful impact.
