Ground Rules – Earthquake Safety Drive – 2025
Earthquakes strike without warning, and lack of preparedness can lead to major loss of life and property. Our aim was to raise awareness about simple safety measures people can take before, during, and after an earthquake.
As the Former Senior Patrol Leader of BIAM Model School & College Scout Group, I led this initiative with the support of Patrol Leaders Md. Mir Ashraful and Rafiqul Islam Uday, along with rover member Md. Raiyan Mollah from Samatat Open Scout Group. We designed earthquake safety posters and attached them to the walls of buildings in the community to make the information easily visible and accessible to all.
We learned how visual communication can effectively spread life-saving information. It also strengthened our understanding of disaster preparedness and the importance of proactive public engagement.
