SEA AWARENESS PROGRAMME

40 rover scouts from KLKM University Tun Hussein Malaysia (UTHM), KLKM University Malaysia Terengganu (UMT), Kinta rovers, Charlie rovers and IKTBN Chembong joined the Sea Scout Marine Awareness Programme (SEAMAP 4.0) organized by KLKM UMT in collaboration with KLKM UTHM. This awareness programme took place from 10 May 2018 to 13 May 2018 at Marine Research Station, Bidong Island, Terengganu and also University of Terengganu. This programme main aim was to create awareness and impact towards the environment and all the participants for a better world and community. The coral reef propagation and planting was a very great eye-opener for the rover scouts. Thus, protecting the marine environment are also vital to the ecosystem. Through this programme, we learn that propagate coral into bigger colony through asexual reproduction could be easily done. Besides, SWA and SWEP project was also conducted by following the aims from the World Scout Environment Programme Activities & Factsheet thoroughly. Lastly, thanks to KLKM UMT and KLKM UTHM for their great programme and project. Also, appreciation for Coral Foundation of Malaysia (YCM) for their warm welcome and allowing the participants to visit their facilities.
