This trees planting project was organized by Scout of The World Voluntary Service Team, supported by 1Malaysia for Youth (iM4U) in-conjunction with World Forestry Day.This meaningful activity took place 2 days from 21 March 2015 to 22 March 2015 at Penang Inshore Fishermen Welfare Association's Small Mangrove Education Centre, Sungai Chenaam, Seberang Perai Selatan, Penang. 21 Mar 2015 SW voluntary service team members was gather to do preparation at SW base, Small Mangrove Education Center, such as removing out all the branches, clearing the bushes, moving the seedlings to mangrove forest and also arrange the trees according the designated area at planting site. 22 Mar 2015 Total 130 participants had gather at Small Mangrove Education Centre, all of them are scouts from District Nibong Tebal and some from Georgetown (South) . A short briefing was given to all the participants by team before they start to move inside the mangrove forest. After planting the mangrove trees, we also have do rubbish cleaning at the planting site, before we back to the Small Mangrove Education Centre.
