Scout Hike: Exploring Bhutan’s Cultural Heritage

The Scout Hike project aims to inspire young people to connect with nature, appreciate Bhutan’s cultural heritage, and develop essential life skills through outdoor adventures. Guided by scouting values, the project promotes environmental awareness, biodiversity conservation, teamwork, leadership, and personal growth, encouraging Scouts to become responsible custodians of Bhutan’s natural and cultural heritage.

The project helps participants develop teamwork, leadership, discipline, and resilience while gaining a deeper appreciation of Bhutan’s cultural heritage and biodiversity. It also strengthens environmental awareness and highlights the importance of protecting nature through practical outdoor experiences.

The Scout Hike project is carried out through a planned hiking expedition involving young Scouts. Activities include nature exploration, biodiversity observation, cultural heritage learning, and team-building exercises. Participants develop leadership, teamwork, and environmental awareness while following appropriate safety measures. The project concludes with a reflection session to evaluate learning outcomes and encourage responsible outdoor practices.
