Instructions

-    Provide participants with journals or notebooks to use as food and mood journals.
-    Encourage them to track their daily food intake and note any changes in mood, energy levels, or emotions throughout the day.
-    Facilitate discussions or workshops on topics such as emotional eating, stress management, and the role of nutrition in mental health.
-    Guide participants in reflecting on their journal entries and identifying patterns or correlations between food choices and mood.
 

Debrief

-    Start by asking participants how they felt about tracking their food intake and mood in their journals. Encourage them to share any interesting observations they made.
-    Discuss examples from participants' journals where they noticed how certain foods affected their mood or energy levels. Explore how food choices can impact emotional well-being.
-    Guide participants in reflecting on their own eating habits and how they relate to their mental health. Discuss the concept of emotional eating and the importance of being mindful about food choices.
-    Share simple strategies for making healthier food choices to support emotional health. Talk about the benefits of a balanced diet and staying hydrated.
-    Encourage participants to set small, achievable goals for improving their diet and mood. Help them brainstorm specific actions they can take to reach these goals.
-    Remind participants to continue using their food and mood journals as a tool for self-reflection. Encourage them to stay mindful of how their food choices affect their emotional well-being.
