TanimBaybayin: Protect Dagupan’s Riverbanks

The Scouts were motivated by a desire to protect the environment and help their community. They wanted to prevent soil erosion, safeguard homes, and inspire others by showing that even small actions can create lasting change.

They partnered with local residents, barangay leaders, and environmental groups to identify affected areas along the river. Scouts and volunteers planted mangrove trees, conducted awareness drives, and organized follow-up programs to monitor growth and ensure sustainability. Through TanimBaybayin, the Scouts learned the power of action and community collaboration. They saw firsthand how restoring mangroves can protect lives and land, teaching them the importance of environmental stewardship.

They discovered that leadership and service are not about age but about commitment, and that small, consistent efforts can create visible, lasting impact. Most importantly, they learned that hope and resilience grow when people work together for a common cause.
