Our cubs at 1st Midrand Cubs celebrated Heritage Day by creating care packages for the local baby home. The home looks after roughly 15 - 20 abandoned babies at any goven time. The packages comprised of toiletries for babies at the home.

The cubs also wrote letters to the babies which are included in the babies personal books. The books accompany the babies when they are adopted so the babies know that there were cared for. 

The second part of this project was to implement a change jar where the cubs added all their loose change. Over 2 months the cubs collected over R1000 that was handed over to the baby home. The home is able to purchase medical supplies and additional food for the babies.
