Skills for success
My motivation for the project is to equip orphaned children with essential life skills, enabling them to navigate challenges and seize opportunities. By fostering self-confidence, independence, and practical knowledge, the initiative aims to empower these children to build brighter futures and break the cycle of disadvantage they face.
The project involves organizing interactive workshops at the orphanage to teach essential life skills. Activities include hands-on sessions, role-playing, and mentorship by volunteers. Topics cover financial literacy, communication, and problem-solving. The program emphasizes engagement and feedback, ensuring the content is relevant and impactful for the children's development.
The project highlighted the importance of adaptability in teaching diverse learners and the value of interactive methods for engagement. Building trust with the children was crucial for effective learning. Collaborating with volunteers enriched the program, and continuous feedback helped refine the approach to better meet the children's needs.
