Rocket Derby
Our motivation for this project was to bring together kids from various communities in a total setting, and expose them to STEM activities, and get them engaged.
Project was executed by having Troop age boys (11-18 years old) help Cub Scout age kids (5-10 years old) be engaged in STEM activities that utilized water and air pressure to launch bottles
There were roughly 35 youth that were positively impacted by the event. The community was impacted in that an event geared toward a diversified group of youth to come together in a STRM event with athletic attributes.
Youth learned about inclusiveness, diversity, and interacting with disabled children. Youth also learned leadership qualities md how to organize and run events
