Project GIVE BACK: Chandré and Amra-Faye Greenan

The number of people that are in our communities that are hungry and at the time needed clothing and face masks due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The project was implemented with Trinity Methodist Church, Kimberley and the NG Church, Kimberley where we joined the Church activities in fund raising,, collection of clothing and handing out food at a soup kitchen. There was also a small part to encourage the community to clean their streets.

On a weekly basis, on a Wednesday, we were able to feed at least 100 people, thereby ensuring that they had at least one nutritious meal. The impact there of was that these people could at least continue looking for work in order without the worry of what they are going to eat. They were also able to distribute donated clothing and masks to needy community members.

The members learnt that the need for people to get a meal to eat is a daily struggle for many. By the Scouts seeing the need, they have fulfilled a small part of that struggle to eat and they are able to add to the community and its requirements.
