Project CLEAN
We were inspired to start Project CLEAN (Creating Leaders for Environmental Awareness and Nature) because we saw the growing problem of waste and litter around our school. We wanted to take action and set an example for other students by promoting cleanliness, discipline, and care for the environment. Our goal was to create a cleaner and greener school through teamwork and leadership, while teaching everyone the importance of proper waste segregation and environmental responsibility.
Project CLEAN is an ongoing initiative by the Cagayan North Tuguegarao City Council – Dungao Integrated School that promotes proper waste segregation and environmental awareness. Conducted every Friday afternoon since July, the project involves students, teachers, and community members in clean-up drives and waste segregation activities. This project was able to collect over 60 kilograms of waste, strengthening their commitment to keeping the school clean and green.
Through Project CLEAN, we learned the importance of teamwork, discipline, and consistency in keeping our environment clean. We realized that even small actions, like proper waste segregation, can make a big difference when everyone participates. The project also taught us leadership, responsibility, and the value of setting a good example for others in protecting and caring for our surroundings.
