My Action for a Clean Beach

I was inspired to start this project because I saw a lot of plastic trash on Mirit Beach in Kebumen. As a scout, I care about the environment and marine life. The trash like plastic snack packaging and styrofoam is dangerous for fish and makes the beach dirty. I want to take action to protect our Healthy Planet and be part of Climate Action. My goal is to make the beach clean and inspire other young people.
I executed my project on 21 October 2026 in Mirit Beach. I went to the beach alone and brought a sack and gloves. I walked along the coastline and collected all the trash I found. I collected mostly plastic bags, snack wrappers, and styrofoam. After collecting, I separated the trash and weighed it. I successfully collected 3.8 kg of trash. Then I brought the trash to the proper disposal place. This small action supports SDG 14 Life Below Water and SDG 15 Life on Land.
Through this project, I learned that small actions can make a big impact. I learned how to manage waste and the importance of protecting the ocean. I also learned to be more responsible as a scout and to not litter. This project taught me to be consistent and care for the environment every day.
