Implementing Growth Strategy in Hungary
As a result of our last Messengers of Peace project, we have a new Growth Strategy for the Hungarian Scout Association. With the support of this project, we planned to implement it at national, district, and local levels, with a strong focus on the local groups' capacity building (especially in the countryside) and our districts' support.
Our goal was to enhance the cooperation between districts and national task forces.
Our other main activity was spreading the word about our new quality standards tool for local groups and districts (inspired by WOSM GSAT), through which we can offer a comprehensive overview for groups and support developing a clear action plan for themselves for the following years.
We have more experience with our new quality standard tool for local groups and districts, so we are very happy to recommend it to others. We see it as a powerful tool inspired by the GSAT.
We also highlight the national support of the camping area, which we see as very effective. Our experience now is that if the scouts can camp well, preserving and strengthening the nomadic camps and the team system, it helps the movement's growth very effectively.
