Iftar Distribution

Ramadan is a holy month for Muslims. During the month of Ramadan, Muslims observe a strict fast from dawn to sunset. When we break our fast, we call it "Iftar". There are many people who cannot afford their basic needs such as food. To understand their plight and sympathize with them, this is what inspired me to distribute Iftar to the needy to break their day-long fast.
Operatheb Foundation implemented the project. 20 people including myself from the foundation volunteered for this project. We raised funds among ourselves. A separate committee was then formed to purchase food and water. Then on the day of execution, we form a group of 3 with a leader in each group. Then we all distributed food among the needy before iftar.
I learned more about the suffering of poor people who are sometimes unable to eat, the suffering of not being able to afford food. I learned to empathize more with people in need throughout this project.
