Green Dreams, Tree Plantation for a Better World
Our motivation to start this tree plantation project came from a deep concern for the environment and a desire to contribute positively to our community. As members of the Rover Scout Group, we believe in protecting nature and promoting sustainability. This project also reflects our commitment as Scouts to serve both the environment and society.
We planned the tree plantation project carefully with the guidance of our Scout leaders. On 25th June 2025, a group of 17 Scouts, including both boys and girls, gathered at designated locations around Narsingdi Polytechnic Institute. We prepared the planting sites by digging holes and clearing the area. Then, we planted 50 saplings of different tree species, ensuring each one was properly placed and watered.
Through this tree plantation project, I learned the importance of teamwork and dedication in achieving a common goal. I gained practical skills in planting and caring for trees, including how to prepare the soil and properly water saplings. More importantly, I understood how vital trees are for maintaining a healthy environment and combating climate change. This experience also taught me responsibility and the value of taking action to protect nature for future generations.
