As Scouts, we are a generation entrusted with preserving nature. Remember, trees are more than just plants. Trees are sources of life they produce clean air, protect the soil from landslides, absorb rainwater, and provide homes for millions of living things. When we plant a tree today, we may not immediately see the results. However, one day, that tree will provide shade for our children and grandchildren, save the earth from the heat, and maintain the balance of nature.
To execute a tree planting movement for Scout members, careful planning is required by forming an implementing committee tasked with formulating activity objectives, determining appropriate and legal locations for planting, selecting tree species that are suitable for local soil and climate conditions, and coordinating with relevant parties such as the village government, the Environmental Service, or land owners to obtain support for seedlings and location permits.
Through this tree planting movement, Scout members learn to understand the importance of maintaining the balance of nature as part of social and environmental responsibility, foster a love for their homeland through concrete actions for environmental conservation, and hone practical skills such as selecting the right seeds, planting with the correct technique, caring for trees with patience, and working together in groups.
