The 40th Unit Council was formed on 11 May 2018. Md. Masud Rana, a student of Marketing Department, was elected President and Osman Gani was elected General Secretary. Mohammad Awal Hossain was elected treasurer. The 40th Unit Council was formed with a committee of 25 members. The 39th Unit Council handed over to the 40th Unit Council members. There was a lot of discussion on this issue from 9 am to 5 pm and the process of handing over the responsibilities was completed. At the unit meeting, Secretary Osman Gani and President Masud Rana exchanged their greetings with the members of the new committee and announced the program for the next day. Everyone was happy to get the new charges and responsibilities of the members of the new committee.
