Food For Life

The Food for Life (FFL) Programme empowers Scouts and communities to combat hunger by equipping them with sustainable agricultural skills. Amid scarce resources and climate challenges, FFL fosters self-sufficiency, enabling families to grow their own food. Since its launch in 2003, it has strengthened food security across Africa.
The Food for Life (FFL) Programme is executed through hands-on agricultural training, empowering Scouts and community members with sustainable farming techniques. It includes workshops, demonstrations, and practical gardening activities. Participants apply learned skills to establish food gardens, ensuring long-term food security and self-sufficiency within their communities.
The Food for Life (FFL) Programme taught us that sustainable agriculture is key to food security. Community engagement, hands-on training, and resource efficiency are essential for success. Collaboration strengthens impact, while adaptability ensures resilience. Empowering youth with agricultural skills fosters self-sufficiency, long-term sustainability, and positive community development.
