Feeding the ones who nourish us - Cows
Cows are considered mothers in our Motherland - India. And Gauseva is one of the prominent ways of giving back to nature and society. Thus, Scouts & Guides from a young age must learn this as it builds social character and empathy.
Cubs, Bulbuls, Scouts, Guides, Rover and Rangers and Adult Leaders took on the task of feeding, cleaning and playing with cows. We started from our training centre with home-cooked rotis and jaggery. At the Gaushala, where we made prior arrangements, we feed the cows and calves. We also helped in cleaning their areas and played with them as well.
Animals, specially cows, suffer a lot due to variopus diseases, pollution and other such things. Helping them and spending time with them makes them happy and they feel safe and nurtured.
