Eletronic Waste is not a waste of time!
We did this project about eletronic waste because its something not all people know how to discard, and a lot of people have it at home, for example old cellphones, broken tvs, etc. So we wanted to aware them about where and how to discard it, why its important to discard correctly and why it is so harmful to nature.
First we talked and researched about it, and we found a company in our city that discard and recycle eletronic waste. Then, we elaborated a poster, spread it on our medias and schools, and advertise in our scout group. We put a cardboard box on our scout group where people should bring their waste, and leave it there, so we could take it to the company I mentioned before.
We talked to the company and they agreed to explain about eletronic waste to our group.
The impact was that we learned more about this kind of waste, made multiple people aware about it aswell, and, as little as it was, we helped the nature being less polluted.
The knowledge about the eletronic waste, which is very important, because it is very harmful to the environment, and that little actions can make big differences.
I would make it better by trying to make it bigger, to reach more people, and we'd try to elaborate it more, with more points where we'd take the waste, and more engagement, specially with social media.
