Clean Shores, Clear Future
Seeing the devastating impact of plastic pollution on marine life and coastal ecosystems inspired me to start this project. Beaches are vital for both nature and communities, and I wanted to take action by organizing a cleanup drive to restore their beauty, protect wildlife, and promote environmental responsibility
I organized volunteers, partnered with local authorities ( Bharath Scouts and Guides - Pillikulla ) , and provided eco-friendly cleanup tools. We divided the beach into sections for efficient waste collection, ensuring proper segregation and disposal. Awareness sessions educated participants on plastic pollution and sustainability. Social media helped spread the message, inspiring more people to join the movement.
That learned that community participation is key to environmental change. Proper waste segregation improves recycling efforts. Raising awareness fosters long-term responsibility. Even small actions create significant impact. Consistency is crucial—one cleanup isn’t enough. Most importantly, collective effort can restore nature and inspire a sustainable mindset in future generations
