Started a small project in Samtse which went out to reach Sarpang and Phuntsoling as well. The “Book drive” project that started two weeks from today is a small community based project where we are collecting the old books that people are willing to give for a good cause. Today 15 scouts from Samtse Higher Secondary school participated in the book rally where we went to homes spreading the word. Needless to say the community in Samtse responded with a huge number of books. Through the words of other scouts, I learnt that people in Samtse are willing to help in any way possible if it is for a better cause and greeted every group of scout with great hospitality. The books collected are going to a target school in Sarpang and to Bhutan Street Library, an upcoming program in Bhutan working for a social cause. Thank you everyone for your contributions.
