2ASM - Cheerful Givers Container Repaint
As part of the Second Africa Scout Moot, all participants took part in a community service project en route to their off site adventure destinations. Springs golden Rotary club has a long standing partnership supporting the Cheerful Givers project which runs a clothing exchange project from a shipping container.
Participants stopped at the site on the way to their heritage tour at the Voortrekker Monument, and using equipment supplied by Springs golden rotary club, painted the outside of the container.
This was a good opportunity to establish a working relationship with a new partner. There are two local Rover crews who would be able to take up this partnership with Springs Golden Rotary club moving forward.
The work at this site was originally scheduled over two days, but the Rovers were so enthusiastic that they were able to complete the work in one day.
