District-Level Youth-Led Climate Action Training Inspires Scouts and Guides in Madipakkam The Bharat Scouts and Guides, Sairam District, successfully organized a District-Level Training on Youth-Led Action on Climate Change (YLACC) on 18th December 2025 at Sai Matric Higher Secondary School, Madipakkam, Chennai. The programme witnessed the enthusiastic participation of 158 Scouts, Guides, and leaders, all eager to contribute to environmental sustainability. Supported by Ms. Sacheeka Aadhavan, the training highlighted the urgency of climate action, encouraged sustainable living practices, and promoted community-based initiatives in alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Through interactive sessions, participants gained insights into practical strategies for reducing environmental impact and fostering awareness in their local communities. The event concluded on a hopeful note, with all participants making a collective commitment to champion climate awareness and implement eco-friendly practices within their schools and neighborhoods. This training not only empowered the youth to become environmental stewards but also strengthened the spirit of community-led action for a sustainable future.
