This Saturday, 10th November, the Beauvallon and Bel Ombre Seychelles Scouts embarked on a heartwarming mission at Foyer de la Providence. 📍 Activity: Gardening 🌿 Date: 14th October 2023 Time: 9 a.m - 2 p.m. Venue: Foyer de la Providence, next to St Elizabeth Convent/Cathedral In partnership with the Support Programmes Section of the Social Affairs Department and under the guidance of Mrs. Gina Adelaide, our Principal Programme Development Officer, our Scouts rolled up their sleeves for a meaningful cause. 🌼 Our Aim: To bolster the psychosocial support system for children living in Care Homes through empowerment and life skills development. This gardening project not only aims to create a sustainable source of fruits and vegetables for the home but also opens avenues for income generation as productivity flourishes. 🤝 Building Relationships: This activity is more than just planting seeds; it's about nurturing relationships. Our Scouts are growing their bond with the Care Home, laying the groundwork for future collaborations and participation in various activities. A huge thank you to Ms. Emma Dodin, our Training and Programme Commissioner, for orchestrating this impactful initiative.
