Indonesian LifeLeaders Project 2.0: Equipping adults to encourage Scouts Impact Innovators for Earth.

From August 26 to 28, 2026, Gerakan Pramuka Indonesia organised the LifeLeaders National Training of Trainers at Taman Rkreasi Wiladatika (TRW) Cibubur, Jakarta. The training, which is supported by the World Organisation of the Scout Movement, World Scout Foundation and Accenture Inc., is pivotal in ensuring the implementation of Impact Innovators Challenge as part of LifeLeaders project in Indonesia.The challenge aimed to equip young people with the ability to innovate and contribute to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals through a process of design thinking. 

They were 30 participants from 11 provinces in Indonesia participated: Aceh, North Sumatra, Jambi, Lampung, Banten, West Java, Central Java, East Java, Central Kalimantan, Bali, and South Sulawesi.  The participants were adult leaders who selected among best leaders registered to participate in the training. At the end of the training, each participant developed an action plan and they may propose a funding request to the National Headquarters to support their pilot project. 

The International Commissioner of Gerakan Pramuka, Kak Toto opened the training and gave a keynote speech which underlined the rapidly changing world with the need for scout leaders and the organization to adapt, and most importantly to contribute through finding solutions to communities, and actively innovate to tackle a social environmental problems. 

During the training, participants explored the principles and practice of design thinking through a variety of interactive sessions. These included a mix of knowledge-sharing, adult learning dialogues, group discussions, role-playing, and hands-on activities with the involvement of a community leader who implemented SDGs from the smaller community group. All sessions were facilitated by the LifeLeaders Team, who had previously undergone regional-level training in 2025. One facilitator of Earth Tribe also involved in relation to understand the focus on the project. Moreover, a source person from APR WSB also contributed in Project management session. Participants were grouped and challenged to identify real-world problems, brainstorm ideas, develop solutions, create action plans, and learn to use tools for project monitoring and evaluation effectively.

Following the training, all participants will join the National Life Leaders team to share and implement the project at the local levels.
