Overnight Camp_held at Tashilhakh PS.

What inspired you to take up the project?

To provide Scouts with a meaningful outdoor learning experience that strengthens resilience, independence, teamwork, and leadership while developing essential practical scouting skills. The activity also aims to foster a deeper connection with nature, promote environmental awareness, and inspire Scouts to become responsible individuals who actively contribute to their communities through service, cooperation, and positive action.

What are the learnings you got from implementing this project and how would you make it better?

It was truly a memorable and enriching experience filled with valuable learning, joyful moments, teamwork, and community service. The activity strengthened our bonds of friendship, developed our scouting skills, and reminded us of the importance of working together, helping others, and creating lasting memories through shared experiences.

Where was your project implemented and how did you execute it?

We began our camp with a patrol-wise hike, where Scouts participated in various activities along the trails, developing teamwork, resilience, and practical scouting skills. We then proceeded to Tashilakha Primary School, where we received a warm welcome with tea and saffron rice. Throughout the camp, the safety and well-being of our Scouts remained our highest priority. Staying away from mobile phones allowed them to disconnect from digital distractions and reconnect with nature and one another. This experience strengthened friendships, encouraged independence, promoted meaningful interactions, and helped our Scouts appreciate the outdoors while embracing the true spirit of scouting.
