IMPACT INNOVATORS: Awareness @Mexico, Pampanga
From KAB Scouts to Senior Scouts—176 Scouts actively participated in the Awareness Workshop of Life Leaders Initiative: Impact Innovators Challenge at Mexico Elementary School on September 13. The workshop aims to empower young leaders to create innovative and sustainable solutions that will be able to address the global challenges in order to build a better world for all.
In line with its goals, the event started with the orientation, explaining how the scouts will be able to achieve the Impact Innovators Badge. Most of all, they also learned how to improve their ideas by having a better understanding in the process of Design Thinking.
Moreover, the scouts also participated in different activities that challenged their critical thinking, empathy skills, and teamwork, such as, Paper Tower Building and Mash-Up Ideas which both aimed to test their ability to solve problems and strategize their solutions. Additionally, the scouts also had the Empathy Map activity that fostered their empathy through having deeper awareness of the issues in our community.
“One of the things that I learned in this workshop is that the youth must work together in order to achieve their goals.” -Aian
“This workshop proved that we are not only stewards of the environment, we're also innovators who aim to solve the problems of our community.” -Jedidia
Undoubtedly, we connect together to empower each other. And now, we are ready to serve!
