The community holds 80% responsibility of environment conservation - making us the major custodians of a healthy, sustainable planet. Community engagement via amplified awareness, conservation education, community clean-ups and partnerships is one of the major effective ways of #Beating plastic pollution. Blue Planet Warriors, in partnership with Evamor Africa and other environmental conservation organizations in Kisumu County had a community awareness and clean-up activity at Kosawo Primary School involving Kosawo community members, and Kosawo primary administration & environmental club students, towards a healthier, safer evironment, and a cleaner Lake Victoria. The activity brought together 57 participants, which saw a positive approach in putting the best foot forward towards reclaiming back, and protecting Lake Victoria from plastic pollution.
