Young Peace Builder at Watsutthapoch School

The project recognizes that sustainable peace must begin with the development of students’ inner skills, including peaceful communication, emotional regulation, respect for diversity, and constructive conflict resolution. When young people are equipped with these skills from an early age, it helps lay a strong foundation for them to grow into responsible and quality citizens in the future.
Students are also given opportunities to develop their leadership skills by designing small-scale activities or serving as peer mediators within their groups. These experiences help build their confidence and sense of responsibility toward the wider community. The skills and insights they gain can be practically applied in the classroom, within their families, and in the broader community.
The establishment of a Young Peace Builders network within the school, consisting of students who are aware of peace-related issues, equipped with peaceful communication skills, and committed to serving the community.
