Number of Participants:-24 Service hours_24hrs The World Health Day is celebrated every year on April 7. In 1948, the WHO held the First World Health Assembly. The Assembly decided to celebrate 7 April of each year, with effect from 1950, as the World Health Day. The World Health Day is held to mark WHO's founding, and is seen as an opportunity by the organization to draw worldwide attention to a subject of major importance to global health each year. The WHO organizes international, regional and local events on the Day related to a particular theme. Resources provided continue beyond 7 April, that is, the designated day for celebrating the World Health Day. As per annual schedule of our district association “The world health day” was observed in Asansol District Association, in a befitting manner. Different prorgammes were undertaken to make the public aware of significance of the day, under the supervision of The Group Leader (S) /Hospital Group/ Asansol, Sri Srikanta Sen. We along with the Scouts & Rovers of Hospital Group, Asansol District observed the day with much spontaneity and gusto, all the members are assembled on 4:50 pm at District Training Park, Hospital Group, and a road rally was success fully arranged with coloured posters, from District Training Park, Hospital Group, Asansol District, Hospital Colony to Durand colony at 5:00pm. The rally formally ended at 6:00pm. It was an outstanding day and indeed a happy occasion. Thanking you
