REPORT OF WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY CELEBRATED AT RHQ, NER, AZARA, GUWAHATI The World Environment Day had been celebrated by the Bharat Scouts & Guides, N.E. Regional Headquarters on 5th of June, 2016. 50 Nos, Rovers and Scouts from BSG, Assam State also joined hands with the N.E. Regional Headquarters Staffs to celebrate the day. In the morning BSG, Flag was hoisted in the proper procedure and under the Flag the Scouts & Guides were provided knowledge about significance of the World Environment Day and we all took pledge to take every possible steps to make our Environment Green, Clean and to save our environment from the activities done by human beings which are harmful for our environment. We were also joined by a Local NGO, viz. Bandhabi Group of Azara during the plantation programme. Our participants and the members of Bandhabi Group planted more than 300 Nos. of Saplings together in the Divider of National High Way No. 37, from Azara, Gadhulibazar to Azara, Primary Health Centre and near about 01 km. distance were covered. During the programme cleanliness Drive was also undertaken from Azara, Gadhulibazar to Azara, Primary Health Centre. The Scouts & Rovers who were also companied by the members of Bandhabi Group had also interacted with people found at Azara during the programme time and conveyed them the message and importance of World Environment Day and the Swachha Bharat Mission of India. During this we are Create New MOP ID and also Register Thair name Hon'ble Prime Minister of India desires to interact with youth members. The Programme was conducted under the leadership of Sri Ashok Kumar Mohapatra, Assistant Director and assisted by Sri Ch.
