The scouts were working with Landcare to clean up the creek bed, in our community, this including clearing rubbish, cutting back weeds/trees and branches that were along and in the creek bed, and blocking the free flowing river. Also re planting native shrubs and trees. This is an ongoing event for both out cubs and scouts, as they participate in national tree planting day around our parks, lakes and creeks, to try and preserve our surroundings but also to protect our natural wildlife. Both our cubs and scouts also participate in Clean up Australia Day as an ongoing community service every year, to try and make our town a better place to live.
