The Howrah District Association celebrated the Foundation of Bharat Scouts and Guides with great joy and pomp. Apart from this they also organized a community service project to better their community by planting saplings at roadsides and corners. Armed with fresh saplings, water buckets, spades and brooms, the participants wandered their locality and planted saplings. Today no one is unaware of the benefits of planting trees. Scouts bear the mission to “Create a better world”. This was indeed a laudable step to fulfill their mission in this pretext.
