Trash to Treasure: One Tide, Green Action
The scouts were motivated by a desire to protect the shoreline, help their community, and take meaningful action for the environment. They wanted to practice leadership, teamwork, and service while contributing to a cleaner and healthier coastline.
They gathered early at the shoreline, received a safety and segregation briefing, divided into groups, and worked with Red Cross volunteers to clean and sort waste. Despite limited materials and logistical challenges, they collected 15 kilograms of trash through teamwork and commitment.
They learned the value of environmental care, teamwork, and preparedness. They also understood the impact of pollution on marine life and realized that small, united efforts can create meaningful change for the community.
