Traffic Control Initiative After July Movement

During the unstable situation in our country on August 5, maintaining order became challenging for the authorities without the assistance of the traffic police. In such circumstances, we, the scout members, stepped forward to help control the traffic and ease the suffering of the general public caused by traffic congestion. Several Rover Scouts also supported us in this initiative.
To manage the situation at that time, we worked with a team of 7 Scouts and 10 Rover Scouts at Kamaruzzaman Saharani, Dhaka. This activity took place from 10 August 2024 to 19 August 2024. Our primary role was to ensure the smooth movement of vehicles on the roads. We made drivers aware of traffic laws and encouraged pedestrians to use the sidewalks properly.
Through this initiative, we gained in-depth knowledge of traffic rules, identified potential risks, and learned strategies to prevent accidents and disorder. We also became familiar with various aspects of traffic control. Our interaction with the public improved our communication skills, which proved invaluable both personally and socially. Furthermore, our teamwork and collective efforts were strengthened significantly during this operation.
