There is a municipal law that provides special activities on July 25 in support of PEACE. the Scout Group Red Land made the lowering of flags: the municipality of Santa Rosa, in the state of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil of our country and the Banner of Peace. The children made posters on the subject and they were exposed in a big clothesline on a beautiful square in the city center so that everyone in the community to reflect on the matter. Taking advantage of the event schedule, our young people 10-18 years have seen the movie "Salt of the Earth", A Wim Wenders film which tells the story of photographer Sebastião Salgado and shows the reality of our planet and is a broad reflection on the need for peace and equality for all. And to close the day's activities Peace was collective snack and a mini lecture to the staff of "Bicicloteca Factory": A wonderful project that brings books everywhere on the wheels of a bicycle. The Bicicloteca offers books for consultation on the spot, others for donations and others to loan. Our young people liked this idea so much that have committed to collect books to donate. We conduct activities in the central square of the city showing to society that can live in harmony, helping others and doing the best for our planet. In this way we contribute to the Day of Peace not go unchallenged and already scheduled to participate in this activity every other year to come, making it an official project of the Scout Red Land Group.
