Active Citizens Ukraine is the program of British Council. It is also a way for each scout and young person in order to gain new knowledge of how to be the active citizen for their community, to make the better world and contribute to the achievement of 17 Global Goals for Sustainable Development. In our Active Citizens Summer Camp, we invited 17 boys and girls from the different community and 10 volunteers: big city, town and small villages. Together we learned how to get acquainted, make friends, finding like-minded people, finding a way out of difficult situations and take an active life position. We learned to be responsible, conscious and help other people. We also learned to spend our free time qualitatively and funny. These qualities are necessary in order to be an active citizen. Also part of our program was the study of project management. At the end of the camp, three groups presented their three projects at the festival of social activism "SVIDOMI fest" in the village of Piskivka next to our camp place. All organizers of the camp, group leaders, speakers were volunteers. it was their choice as active citizens to devote their time to others.
