By the blessings of SDM Mr. Rohit Rathore our group leader Mr. N.L. Sharma and our rover and ranger leader Shyam sir and shakshi mam rovers of GDC kullu HP did a project based on traffic survey. Now a dayz our roads of kullu manali area are mostly jammed due to excess vehicles. And we did a survey to know about this problem. We asked questions from different vehicle drivers nd passengers and tried to to find out d reason behind this. We noted d types of vehicle, tried to find out their purpose of travelling, noted no of passengers , noted their travel distance, etc. etc. We were 5 rovers and covered area of kullu from Bhuntar to Sarvari Bazaar kullu. Each rover was given a specific area. And each rover gave best of their efforts to cover d survery of his area. In average we stopped around 300 Vechicles ( truck,car,jeep, two wheeler etc.). We started d work early morning at 8 Am nd completed at 4 pm. After doing d work on whole day we submitted d report to SDM sir of distt. Kullu. Now he will analyze d result and will seek our help in phase 2. i.e project is to be continued...
