Skill Development project For Village Girls (TAILORING)
Ranger of Kamla Nehru Group Started a skill developing project on TAILORING in Village Khatola, bareilly.
The Project was from 16th May to 7th June 2017..
As The Village was adopted by the Kamla Nehru Group, the aim of the project was to develop the skills of village Girls and to make them an active part in the economy of Country.
The Girls were being trained in :-
1) Developing design for garment, adapting existing design for garment, or coping existing design for garment.
2) Altering garment and joins parts, using needle and thread or sewing machine, to form finished garment.
3) Drawing individual pattern or alters existing pattern to fit customer's measurements.
4) Sews buttons and buttonholes to finish garment.
5) Pressing garment, using hand iron or pressing machine.
6) Conferring with customer to determine type of material and garment style desired.
7) Positioning pattern of garment parts on fabric, and cuts fabric along outlines, using scissors.
8) Measuring customer for size, using tape measure and records measurements.
9) Fits basted garment on customer and marks areas requiring alterations..
By giving these services a girl can earn a good amount and easily help herself and her family
