My husband decided to row the river Murray to raise money for a charity called Backpacks 4 SA kids inc with my 15 year old son (a venturer). They needed a support crew. My other sons (a scout and cub) wee also there to set up their beds, help feed them and support them while speaking with the public to raise money and awareness for backpacks 4 SA kids. We spent 33 days on the road supporting them and speaking to people. We had to find safe spots which they could reach by river and we could access from road. We were away from family and friends for 35 days to support their trip and raise funds and awareness for the charity. We encountered many challenges and rallied support from Scout Groups and friends all down the River Murray.
