Mike Miles, from 1st Fish Hoek Sea Scouts will led the project that has been delayed and is now due to take place on the weekend of 13th May 2017. Children of Hope Pre-School is situated in an informal settlement of Red Hillis. The Pre-School is not registered. It is built out of containers and has 59 children attending the school daily. The school was visited by a health inspector and they have found the flooring in the kitchen needs to be replaced in order for the ECD to receive its Health certificate. The Group has decided to help the ECD by putting decent linoleum down on the kitchen floor. This project will benefit in 74 children in total. Since 1st Fish Hoek Sea Scouts have started assisting the Red Hill community, the ECD projects have helped to create an awareness of scouting movement in Red Hill.
