Pedaling for Change: Cycle Rally & Coastal Cleanup
Inspired by a shared vision within the Subhas Scout Group and the M.S. Subbulakshmi Guide Group, this project aimed to promote community engagement and environmental conservation. Addressing coastal pollution, we combined a cycle rally to symbolize energy and commitment with a hands-on coastal cleanup to protect our environment.
We executed the project through a well-planned approach. After securing necessary permissions and preparing materials like gloves, trash bags, and banners, we organized the event at Marina Beach on 03.11.2024. The day began with a cycle rally to raise awareness, followed by a coastal cleanup where participants collected and sorted litter. The event concluded with a reflection session and documentation to share our environmental message with the community.
This project taught me the importance of teamwork, careful planning, and hands-on action. Collaborating with others helped us achieve our goals, while the coastal cleanup showed the impact of small efforts. The cycle rally was a creative way to raise awareness, and reflecting on the project helped us improve for future initiatives.
