FROM 29/09/2019 TO 03/10/2019 NATIONAL YOUTH FORUM Try and leave this world little better than how it was -Lord Baden Powell A week of the camp life is worth of five months of theoretical teaching in the Meeting Room. By keeping these inspirational quote in mind, 25 states of India participated in the 5 days National Youth Forum at Odisha. It was organised by the Bharat Scouts and Guides in ITI Bargaon Sundargarh District Odisha. My team has 8 members led by Mrs.Sunita Katoch have represented the Team Himachal in the NYF 2019. We all are there not only to represent Ourselves but to represent all the youth of Himachal Pradesh. I reached at the camp site on 29/09/2019. On the day one we have integration with all the other states and in the evening we have the session about camp rules, Schedule of the camp and members of the steering committee were introduced with the participants. And all states are grouped according to the regions. And then one ranger and one rover is elected from all the regions for the recommendation committee. From day 2 to day 4 different sessions were conducted that main focuses on the youth involvement, world scouting, wagggs initiative, SDG’s, YAMG, Better World Framework, I love the sessions and the Speakers. Their Interaction and the Speaking Skill were excellent. Between the sessions we have many activities the tasks assigned in the group. Every day we have new chief guests. And I also got the chance to perform in front of our petroleum minister. On 2nd October Gandhi jyanti was celebrated in the camp a rally is organised to show the diversity of our country and to promote the swatch Bharat. After that we are divided into groups to do the community service and blood donation for the noble cause. Then Essay writing competition, speech, drawing competitions are organised. I took part in all the activities. On the last day we have given the certificates and we were appreciated for our work. This Forum have become a very special time. It taught me more than I expected and I believe that this forum had given me the direction and encouragement ready to be the active sustainable citizen. And I will give my best contribution towards shaping sustainable future.
