National Leadership Training in Lebanon

Inspired by the International Leadership Training Program, we recognized the importance of creating an innovative and engaging framework to train young people and equip them with additional skills in change management, critical thinking and communication, and leadership development. After securing funding from the World Organization of Social Movements for a similar national program, sponsored and funded by the Alwaleed Philanthropies, the idea for this unique challenge took shape.

The program was divided into three phases: The first two phases involved qualifying the program's leadership team and training young leaders through a specialized youth leadership development program. 3- Reflecting Sustainability: A workshop was held for national associations, during which the experience was shared with them, resulting in the design of 10 development initiatives that address the needs of the local community.

Adaptive Hybrid Interaction: We learned that combining webinars and hands-on training is the best way to expand the impact. The Importance of Peer Mentoring: The shift from "coach" to "peer mentor" led to increased trainee engagement. Data Validation Requirements: Involving local Scout associations in the program was crucial to its sustainability.
