Joyfully from the morning with Messengers of Peace

“Joyfully from the morning" this is how disabled scouts from city Nowy Targ based in south Poland from 27th PDH NS “Śtuderoki” called their task within the Messengers of Peace program. The program has been realised from January up to the end of April 2018. The first task which young people had to face was the renovation of the locker room of their Vocational School, whose appearance did not fill with optimism. Spun walls, damaged floor, old lamps and hangers which remember ancient times discouraged students to leave their jackets and shoes over there. All of that stuff made them feel uncomfortable and awkward. But now things have changed. The pipes passing through this room were built up with cardboard-gypsum panels, gres tiles were placed on the floor, holes in the walls were plastered and painted in a rainbow’s colours. Moreover, some brand new, aesthetic hangers and a charming bench have appeared. Even doors have caught some kind of glow. The second task was to define and draw white lines marking the field for playing football on the asphaltic school’s playground. And here the scouts have performed their skills excellently. Currently, during the game, you cannot be able to hear the banter about the wrong position of the ball, whether it is a penalty or a corner. The scouts would like to thank all those people who have been involved in this undertaking. Be prepared! 27th Scouts Group “Śtuderoki” team leader Beata Jachymiak
