Jamboree Forum at Colombo Centenary International Scout Jamboree

Jamboree Forum was an unique event at the Jamboree which brought together young people at CCISJ from 12 different countries to discuss matters of importance, in the current context of the world. The key objectives of the Forum was as follows, 1. To give young people the opportunity to discuss issues in a friendly and open environment. 2. To allow youth to get a better understanding on trending global issues which has a direct impact on them. 3. To encourage youth to “listen to other perspectives and share their own perspective”. 4. Encourage participants to brainstorm ideas on how they can combat these global issues at individual, community and scout unit level as Messengers of Peace. The Forum Agenda comprised of items such as the Key Note Speech, Scouter’s Perspective, Experience Sharing Session and Group Discussions and Group Presentations and was held on 3rd & 5th August 2014 from 5.00 pm till 6.30 pm.
