Mlilo Pre Primary school, located in Nsikazi District accommodates children from grade R-7. The group focused on grade R learners and they helped plant fruit trees at the school to benefit the grade R classes. 75 children benefited from this project, and there will be shade now, which will help in summer when the children are playing outside. The children gained tree planting skills. There’s going to be savings in costs as some fruits will now be available at school. The group also held a workshop for the teachers on the importance of planting trees. The workshop also included topics such as climate change and their impact as well as how to plant trees.
